Kablink Conferencing is open source meeting software that allows your teams to communicate in real-time. Using Conferencing users can see who's online and start instant meetings to increase productivity between team members. These meetings can include audio, chat, whiteboard, desktop-sharing, and presentations. Everything necessary to get your teams out of their current serial processes and into real-time team productivity.
"Collaboration is no longer painful - or precious."
--Vincent Clark, Musician
Today's teams need to function in real-time to compete, but most teams still rely on email for their most important communication. This reliance upon email means that work gets done serially as team members process their Inbox. This time lag drains your project and team productivity. Kablink Conferencing transforms team coordination from serial processes to real-time decision making. Instantly invite team members to join a meeting and get your most critical decisions made in real-time.
Kablink Conferencing allows you to see whose online and start instant meetings. Imagine finding a document in your document repository but not understanding some aspect of the material. With Kablink Conferencing you can see whether or not the document author is online and start a meeting based on the document you've found. And with whiteboarding you can point out the relevant parts of the document that need clarification. All in real-time and all open source and free.
Kablink Conferencing is an open source alternative to real-time meeting software like WebEx or AimPro. With Kablink Conferencing you can share your desktop, share a presentation, chat, or even talk with other Kablink users in a conference call.
The Conferencing project has recently added the voice capabilities of Asterisk to its meeting capability. Now meeting organizers can have VOIP capabilities via an Asterisk conferencing module that can be configured to talk to an existing PBX to include traditional ISDN voice clients. This is currently available only via the SVN trunk.
